"But who is worse shod than the shoomakers wife?
With shops full of new shooes all her life ?
Or who will doe lesse, than they that may doe most ?
And namely of her I can no way make boste.
She is one of them to who God bad hoe?
She will all have, and will right nought forgoe.

Friends, it has been a long time since this website was updated.  Indeed, some of you may have noticed that nothing really has changed here since late 2007.  That is about to change.  Look for a new JeffBillman.com in the month of May, with better integration with various social networking sites (Facebook, LinkedIn, LiveJournal), and an improved framework (Joomla 1.5.17).  Thanks for reading!

Election Day PDF Print E-mail

A couple of things to report today:

First, I voted.  I always try to make it out for every election, no matter how obscure.  But this... this was perhaps the most worthless election I've ever voted in.

I asked for a Republican ballot... more on that another time.  Of course, by this point McCain has the nomination pretty much sewn up, so my vote for President was meaningless.  But the really bad thing is, that was the only office on the ballot for which there was any opposition!  It was a bit like voting in Cuba:  One party, one candidate per office, thank you for your vote.  And with no issues on the ballot, for the first time in my life I did nothing but rubberstamp the choices of others.

Man, that was depressing.

The second thing is, as you can see, I've started a blog on this site.  There will be a number of changes in the future with this space, as I get everything the way I want it.  Stay tuned...
